MY STORY

I have a profound appreciation for self-expression through the arts and have personally experienced the insights it can offer. During my youth, I enjoyed participating in a variety of creative activities including drawing, writing poetry, tie-dyeing, designing jewelry, sewing my own clothes, and styling my outfits in my own unique way. I found great fulfillment in the process of allowing my intellect, hands, and intuition to guide me in creating art. It was always authentic and true to who I was at that time.

As I navigated my college years and beyond, I faced significant challenges, including experiences of domestic abuse. For several decades, I lived in survival mode. Looking back on those years, I can see that when I was engaging in creative activities or teaching art to others, I was home in my true self. In those moments, I experienced positivity, affirmation, and happiness. I did not realize it at the time, but the art room was my sanctuary—a space that kept me connected to my authentic self despite the trauma in my home life.

Empowered by my experiences, I passionately advocate for the importance of embracing one's true self. I teach others about the scientifically supported, transformative power of creating art as a form of personal expression. My workshops incorporate themes of mindfulness, gratitude, self-awareness, and self-acceptance, inviting participants to explore their creativity through various mediums such as drawing, painting, collage, clay work, stitching, mending, wearable art, and movement. My goal is to support others in crafting intuitive art that promotes healing and fosters a deeper connection to their true selves.
